  • System Data: IP addresses of your security devices, system logs, and notification history.

  • Biometric Data: Mathematical templates used for fingerprint or facial recognition access (Note: We do not store actual images of fingerprints).

  • Visual Data: Temporary access to CCTV feeds during system calibration or if offsite monitoring is part of your service agreement.

2. Purpose of Data Collection

Your information is used strictly for:

  • Providing professional security installation and maintenance.

  • Configuring mobile applications for remote system control.

  • Responding to technical support requests.

  • Generating legal Certificates of Compliance (COC).

  • Invoicing and administrative communications.

3. Data Storage and Security

We implement high-level security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption: Mobile app streams and NVR data are encrypted to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Local Storage: Biometric and CCTV data are primarily stored on-site at your property, not on our servers, unless offsite cloud backup is explicitly requested.

  • Access Control: Only authorized personnel involved in your system’s maintenance have access to your account details.

4. Third-Party Disclosure

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We only share data with third parties when:

  • It is required to link your alarm system to a Rapid Response Security Company.

  • It is required for Warranty Claims with hardware manufacturers.

  • It is required by Law or Regulatory Authorities.

5. Biometric Privacy

Our biometric systems utilize “Template Mapping.” This process converts your fingerprint or facial features into an encrypted mathematical string. We do not store a reconstructible image of your biometric markers, ensuring your biological identity remains private and secure.

6. CCTV and Surveillance Ethics

The client assumes responsibility for the legal use of surveillance cameras. Dynamic Security Solutions advises all clients to:

  • Ensure cameras are focused only on their own property.

  • Display “CCTV in Operation” signage where required by law.

  • Respect the privacy of neighbors and the public.

7. Your Rights

Under the POPI Act, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.

  • Request the correction or deletion of your personal data.

  • Object to the processing of your data for marketing purposes.
